How to Choose the Right Airflow Capacity
Formula: Room volume × 10–12 = m³/h
Example: 20 m² × 2.5 m = 50 m³ → target airflow ≥ 500–600 m³/h.
Key Installation Rules
- Distance from hob: min. 65 cm (electric), 70 cm (gas).
- Duct size: Recommended Ø150 mm — smaller ducts increase noise and reduce efficiency.
- Modes: If you have an external vent — use extraction; if not — recirculation with a carbon filter (FWK 228/240).
Maintenance Tips
- Aluminium grease filter — clean every 2–3 months.
- Carbon filter — replace every 4–6 months (depending on use).
- Switch on before you start cooking and leave it running for 10–15 min after you finish.
