KROGH Kitchen Hoods: Built-in, Island, and Wall-Mounted

Fresh air and quiet operation — that’s what KROGH hoods deliver every day. The brand offers three main types to suit different kitchen layouts and styles.

Built-in Hoods

If you prefer a minimalist look, a built-in hood hides inside the cabinet while delivering powerful performance.

  • Pros: Seamless design, strong suction directly above the hob, LED lighting.
  • Best for: Compact kitchens or clean-line interiors.

Island Hoods

Have an open space with a central cooking area? Island hoods cover a full 360° zone.

  • Pros: Wide coverage, elegant cylindrical or chimney shapes, even remote control.
  • Best for: Open-plan kitchens.

Wall-Mounted Hoods

The classic chimney-style hood — powerful extraction with simple installation.

  • Pros: High airflow, multiple widths (60/90 cm), touch control, Boost/timer modes.
  • Best for: Most kitchen layouts — a universal choice.

How to Choose the Right Airflow Capacity

Formula: Room volume × 10–12 = m³/h
Example: 20 m² × 2.5 m = 50 m³ → target airflow ≥ 500–600 m³/h.

Key Installation Rules

  • Distance from hob: min. 65 cm (electric), 70 cm (gas).
  • Duct size: Recommended Ø150 mm — smaller ducts increase noise and reduce efficiency.
  • Modes: If you have an external vent — use extraction; if not — recirculation with a carbon filter (FWK 228/240).

Maintenance Tips

  • Aluminium grease filter — clean every 2–3 months.
  • Carbon filter — replace every 4–6 months (depending on use).
  • Switch on before you start cooking and leave it running for 10–15 min after you finish.
